IBCS POLAND SPÓŁKA Z OGRANICZONĄ ODPOWIEDZIALNOŚCIĄ zrealizowała projekt dofinansowany z Funduszy Europejskich pn. „ibcsDock/ibcsCloud: zautomatyzowany system rejestracji przepływu towarów w magazynie”.
Sokołów meat processing plant has existed since 1991 and is one of the largest representatives of the meat industry in Poland. In 2000, the company merged with another large company in this sector – Farm Food Group. At that time, a deep restructuring was carried out consisting in the introduction of production specialization in individual plants of the Group and the consistent development of its own pig breeding development program. As a result, Sokołów S.A. became one of the precursors of changes taking place in the meat industry, and at the same time the demand for advanced IT infrastructure increased.
Currently, Sokołów Group consists of seven large, modernly equipped production plants: in Sokołów Podlaski, Czyżewo, Koło, Jarosław, Tarnów, Dębica and in Robakowo near Poznań. It also owns the following subsidiaries: Agro-Sokołów Sp. z o. o. with three large agri-breeding farms, Sokołów-Export Sp. z o. o. – servicing the foreign trade of the Group, Sokołów-Service Sp. z o. o. – providing technical support and Sokołów-Logistyka Sp. z o. o. – responsible for transport and logistics matters
When the expectations were clearly defined, the focus was on choosing a company that would undertake their implementation. Several proposals from suppliers of mobile solutions using automatic data identification systems were considered, finally deciding on IBCS Poland.
Sokołów Group has a large production potential enabling the daily production of about 1,200 tons of high-quality products. Such high production capacity requires perfect organization of all its stages: from receiving the raw material, through its processing, to leaving the finished product from the plant. In order to control such complex processes while maintaining the highest quality standards, it is necessary to have an advanced IT infrastructure.
Management of Sokołów S.A. branch in Jarosław decided to use the potential of the existing IT structure by extending and improving the existing ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. His task was to reduce costs and improve and automate the company’s production processes.
This improvement turned out to be necessary for several reasons. One of the most important was the guidelines of our contractors. Large retail chains required the introduction of unified rules and procedures into the distribution processes, which can be implemented using specialized IT systems
Our choice was based on several elements, the most important being the extensive experience of IBCS Poland, great references, and a favorable financial offer
